Africa
Africa chose me; it seduced me with its siren call, and I answered. I was supposed to go to school in the fall in Scotland for my master's, yet for some reason, the joy I once had decided to evaporate. It faded and turned to mist and was swept away. I tried reaching for it, then again I pulled myself away. Why chase something that doesn't call to you anymore? Life is too short to chase what isn't meant for the now.
People ask why Africa? Honestly, I'm not sure; maybe I'll know more once I'm there, or maybe not. I have traveled before, but never to Africa; I have mainly been to Europe. I wanted something totally new, something I couldn't predict.
I do have a plan: start in South Africa, and work my way up the east coast all the way to Morocco. I shall be working my way up the coast through worldpackers. I am starting in George, which is on the coast, and I believe happens to be Surf City, nation.
This time, I have no expectations; expectations just limit you.
I don't believe in limits.
I am chasing the freedom of life.
